Happy Children, Happy School; Achieving Excellence in Education.

Organisation for the first two weeks and PE sessions

Children will remain in their old classrooms for the first week so they will be having PE that first week when these classes are timetabled to do this, so will need to be in PE kits that day.

From the 14th September, the children will move into their new year groups and their PE sessions will then be scheduled when they  are allocated their times.

As the classrooms in year 3 upwards have been configured to meet government guidelines ( all in rows, facing forwards) and the right number of tables and chairs in these classrooms, children who are currently in Years 3-5 will go to their new classrooms and the teacher will move instead. So, for example, the current Elm class will start on the 7th Septemberbased in sycamore class, and Miss Emerson will teach in that room.

From the 14th September, Miss Emerson will return to her Elm classroom to take her class. This should not affect parents in that as you will need to wait on the path at the correct time, the children will be brought to them in these year groups. Chestnut and Acorn children will be dismissed from their classroom doors at their allocated time, to avoid large numbers of parents being on site at any one time.

It will certainly be a challenging few weeks ahead with undoubtedly some teething issues, but I’m sure we will all get into a routine quickly!
