Here is a short presentation giving you an over view of some important parts of year 3. If you have any questions about the foundation subjects please send me an email or give me a call and I will be happy to answer your queries.

Our topic in Autumn 2 is The Flintstones!

Take a look at some of the activities we have been up to.

Short term home learning activities.

Anti-bullying week!

This week was anti-bullying week, the theme was being unique.

All over the world people wore odd socks to represent our differences. We decided to create our own odd socks and each child decided how they were going to play a part and help stop bullying.

This week we celebrated Diwali, we learned all about the festival of light and how it is celebrated. We created some of our own rangoli patterns.

Our topic in Autumn 1 is The Jewels of the Jurassic Coast!

Take a look at some of the activities we have been up to.

Short term home learning activities

Black History Month

In Year 3, our question was 'What is racism?'

We explored our own views and the children made their own decisions about what racism is and how they, as the next generation, can help make the world a kinder place.

Harvest festival!

Our topic in science this half term is ‘Animals including humans.’

We looked at how foods can be put into groups and how much of each group we should be eating to have a balanced diet.

We then created our own plates of food using what we had learned to help us stay healthy!

We also looked at the skeletons of a range of animals including ourselves.

We learnt all about why we need bones and muscles and how some animals have back bones while others don’t.

We enjoyed labelling our skeleton - Boney Brian.
